Job description
The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) seeks to appoint a Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Fashion Styling and Production course at London College of Fashion.
You will provide academic leadership and management of the course, assuming responsibility for the design, development and the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring that it is relevant, current and consistent with the mission of the programme, and the needs of students.
As an experienced academic, you will impart your vision for the programme, setting agendas for development as well as enhancing quality through the effective monitoring of the course. Your role will contribute to the academic mission of the programme and its implementation, ensuring clarity of identity, currency of subject agendas, relevance of learning methods and the fulfilment of appropriate standards at each level of study.
In addition to this, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the course including all areas of learning, teaching and assessment of students, as well as resources allocated.

About you
We are looking for a well-qualified individual with a degree in a relevant subject area, and an awareness of the regulatory framework for HE academic awards and quality standards.
You will provide evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of Fashion Styling and Production (FSP) activity and is relevant to the goals of the programme, college and University.
Regarded as a leading authority in the field of FSP, you will be able to lead the technical and professional development of FSP and your own areas of expertise within the University.
You will demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, along with the ability to motivate and lead teams effectively, setting clear objectives to manage performance.
