Employer: University of the Arts London
Location: Hybrid – CCW Peckham Road/Home
Salary: £32,624 - £39,342 per annum
Contract: Full time
Hours: Full time

Job description

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator with considerable operations, venue management and events experience to play a key role creating unforgettable events that bring people in South London together.

The Hub is Camberwell College of Arts’ venue for the community in the heart of Peckham. It is a vibrant space where local businesses, academia and the community come together to develop creative business ideas, explore emerging technologies and learn new skills.

The Hub provides an events and training space for South London-based people and groups to explore and find solutions to social challenges through digital technologies, learn new skills and generate business ideas.

The Hub Front of House and Events Administrator will support and oversee the development, coordination and delivery of The Hub events programme. The programmes delivered out of The Hub contribute to the positive experiences of our graduates, students and the local community and further build positive relationships with individuals and networks in Southwark and the surrounding areas.

You will be responsible for ensuring every event runs smoothly from start to finish. You will oversee the day-to-day administration and operations of our events and venue and work closely with hirers and clients to exceed their expectations.

About you

This is a hands-on role that requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.

As the ‘face’ of The Hub, you will have considerable events management experience, excellent administrative skills, be flexible and proactive and demonstrate high levels of autonomy.

You will be genuinely passionate about engaging with our local communities and providing the highest levels of customer service to both internal and external customers.

Previous experience of working in a public-facing, busy events environment is essential, together with excellent knowledge of administration, budgeting, AV, IT and design and productivity software packages. Operations plus/or sales experience would also be an advantage.

The scheduled interview dates are on 05/08/2024 and 06/08/2024.

Appointment to this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
