Job description
The opportunity
BA (Hons) Film and Screen Studies degree at LCC is looking for an experienced AL who can deliver a new year two unit titled Networks & Distribution. This unit, which begins in September 2024, is a behind the scenes look at what happens to a film after it is made. The candidate will be expected to teach about the day-to-day activities of sales agents and producers and the power of distribution companies and marketing in shaping screen cultures. The ideal candidate needs to be able to provide insights into what makes a film ‘successful’ and critically analyse the impact of new technologies on this under-researched area of the film industry.
About you
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to units such as Collaborative Project and Major Project, which involve students curating their own film programmes. The candidate will also be involved in marking student projects. Alongside planning and teaching experience, the candidate needs to possess film curating/festival programming experience.
