The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking to appoint two Social Purpose Operations Officers, to form part of a new division within the group, who will play a vital role in providing a high quality service to ensure the smooth and efficient service and operations.
Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Social Purpose Group and the wider university, this is a broad-ranging role supporting all aspects of operations management, including aspects of HR, finance, estates management, executive support and governance, administration and project management.
About you
As a member of Social Purpose Operations, you will adopt a proactive approach, working as part of an integrated team, and will be responsible for providing effective and efficient support for the Social Purpose Group. You will support the Social Purpose Group in the delivery of its objectives through a portfolio of activity that supports strategic and operational planning, financial processes, and administration elements of the Group’s functions.
You will have demonstrable experience in delivering a support service in operations or administration, with a customer-oriented approach to managing service standards. You will have a good understanding of finance and HR processes and practice, including an awareness of compliance requirements in these fields.
You will have strong administrative, organisational and project management skills, including an ability to work to deadlines calmly under pressure, with high attention to detail, and with a flexible approach to changing priorities. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels to promote a positive working culture is also essential.
