About you
MA Graphic Branding & Identity sits within LCC’s Branding Design & Innovation programme. We would like to invite practitioners with brand-oriented experience in the following fields – strategy, creative & art direction, planning copywriting, typography, social and service design, design activism, brand/retail experience design, brand identity for 3D environments, animation, and film/time-based media – to contribute to the success of this course and to expand our portfolio of skills and diversity of voices to further enhance student experience.
MA Graphic Branding & Identity puts story and strategy at the heart of design practice, examining the graphic systems and behaviours that power modern brands. We ask students to enter a process of design research, drawing upon theory and practice to explore conceptual approaches to their subject area. During their time on the course, they will be exposed to diverse experiences, teaching methods and critical feedback. They will collaborate with internal and external partners, forming networks with other practitioners and producing world-class portfolios & research projects in preparation for their next steps, be it PhD study or professional practice.
Your role on the course would be to contribute to a wide range of discussions that connect design practice, theory and branding. You will prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, workshop and tutorials across units. You will work with a diverse international cohort, new and old technologies, and a course team made up of designers, makers and thinkers. You will liaise with external partners and organisations. You will take part in assessment, playing a vital role in the planning and delivery of key sessions and monitoring students’ engagement and progression at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
Academic experience in design education is preferred but not essential.
