You will develop workshops and resources and provide professional support, technical expertise, guidance and advice in 3D, motion graphics and emerging technologies.
As a team, we manage the technical spaces and resources at LCC in ways that support the needs of our community: from teaching, learning, research and knowledge exchange to events, exhibitions and commercial activity. Inclusive and dynamic, we have a strong commitment to developing staff and supporting them to reach their full potential.
Drawing upon your extensive knowledge and experience, you will support student learning in subjects including but not limited to: 3D modelling and animation, motion graphics and post-production; and working with production techniques, including lighting, camera, motion capture, 3D environments and basic virtual production; and helping students to develop a broad range of increasingly essential technical skills.

As an active member of the technical team, you will contribute to the technical resources strategy by providing vital information and data to the technical coordinator and technical managers. Your role will encompass communicating with stakeholders, acting as a point of contact for technical support and ensuring access to up-to-date and accurate information for students, academics, technicians, and other university staff.
About you
We are looking for an experienced, adaptable, dynamic and motivated person with a wide range of skills. Ideally, a creative individual with a passion for 3D and Moving Image disciplines, who will relish the challenge of supporting a diverse range of talented creatives and renowned academics.
We need someone who is a good communicator, able to explain complex information clearly. You will be confident in imparting skills and knowledge to students, academic and other technical staff. Experience of supporting customers and stakeholders in a creative environment is key. Knowledge of Health & Safety management of designated technical areas and studios is important. You will have excellent knowledge of analogue and digital studio techniques used for 3D, moving image, post-production and related subjects, including software and hardware maintenance, studio & equipment maintenance and knowledge of VFX, XR and emerging technology.
You will also be proficient in the use of several of the following relevant software: Blender, Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and more. If there are any aspects of the role that you may require training in, then this will be provided. LCC is committed to the personal and professional development of its technical staff.
