The opportunity

The Associate Lecturer is responsible for teaching and assessing Level 5 (year 2) of the BA Interior and Spatial Design course, part of the Interior Futures Programme at CCW.

The Associate Lecturer will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to deliver and develop the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.

The post-holder will be expected to:
·Take a student-centred approach to providing learning and teaching.
·Work as a team to deliver academic units (modules) that include staff-led and student-initiated project briefs.
·Provide considered feedback on student work and conduct assessment that is rigorous, clear, and fair and complies with the university's policies.
·Work in-person or digitally as required.
·Participate in narrowing student achievement gaps and reflect on your practice through ethics, anti-racism, climate emergency and social justice lenses.

About you

BA(Hons) Interior and Spatial Design invites applications for two Associate Lecturers (AL) to be part of the second-year studio teaching team. We look forward to hearing from a range of applicants who are practitioners with some experience teaching in higher education and who can communicate an interest in exploring how interior and spatial design can resolve real-world issues and drive positive social change.

Successful applicants are expected to have the following skills or expertise:
* Undergraduate and Higher degree (e.g. MA) in Interior Design, Architecture or associated Spatial Design subject.
* Experience in teaching & assessment in an undergraduate higher education environment.
* Evidence of research, knowledge exchange and/ or professional practice that contributes to the
advancement of interior spatial design activity relevant to the programme's goals, college, and university.
