The opportunity

University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for a well-qualified individual with e-commerce skills and experience to play a key role within our not just a shop team.

not just a shop sells unique home, fashion, giftware and artwork by UAL students and alumni, both in-store and online. It’s also a learning space; all proceeds from our retail operations are reinvested back into supporting students with their businesses and providing realistic and supportive commercial experience.

As Ecommerce Coordinator, you will be responsible for a range of duties that will facilitate the delivery of a high-quality customer experience. These duties will include:

• Ensuring the website is well-presented and up to date, writing engaging copy and coordinating photoshoots.
• Processing, packaging and fulfilling all online orders.
• Developing ideas to maximise sales, conversions, expansion and development.

The role is 4 days a week (Tues to Friday) of which 3 days is onsite at High Holborn and 1 day working from home.

In addition to this, you will also work in-store as a sales assistant during shop hours and covering lunch breaks. (approx. 8 to 12 per hours per week).

About you

We are looking for a well-organised individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide a positive and responsive customer service.

You will possess experience of working in the retail sector and can demonstrate an understanding of retail systems, processes and operations. Additional experience and a working knowledge of developing and/or maintaining an e-commerce platform or relevant websites, is also essential.

With an astute attention to detail, you will demonstrate knowledge of photo shoots and experience of editing images with professional software. You will also exhibit an understanding of SEO and will demonstrate an ability to produce SEO rich copy.
