The opportunity

University of the Arts London is looking for a Finance Administrator to join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 6 months. The post-holder will have the flexibility to manage all aspects of financial administration and provide support to designated areas. The role will also involve effectively handling finance queries and offering support to the Finance Business Partner, senior staff where necessary, and relevant UAL stakeholders.

About you

The successful candidate will have significant experience in financial administration and be proficient in Finance Management Information Systems, desirably Agresso. We seek a candidate with a GCSE level education or equivalent, preferably holding a degree or relevant finance qualification, which is desirable.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in IT including MS Office, email, and internet, and the ability to deliver basic training. We value team players who show initiative and creativity in problem-solving.

Experience is required in the following areas:
– Accurate raising and monitoring of purchase orders within agreed timescales.
– Processing of purchase invoices to meet payment dates and raising sales invoices and credit notes promptly.
– Setting up new suppliers and customers in our Finance system following university guidelines.
– Accurate processing of sundry/manual payments and receipt journals.
– Effective handling of queries from staff and suppliers about Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and other financial aspects.
