As an Infrastructure Specialist Wireless Network, you will be responsible for successfully delivering advanced specialist end to end support, solutions, implementation, and configuration of wireless across the Enterprise environments, through planning, onsite optimisation, surveying, and troubleshooting. Ensuring operational efficiency, stability, reliability, security and assisting the infrastructure team within and across the wider university are also key aspects of this role.
About you
Your profile:
- Extensive experience designing and supporting complex Wireless infrastructure in a predominately Cisco Environment.
- In depth knowledge of WLAN technologies, wireless standards (such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF design and operational model, and WiFi site surveys.
- Proficiency with Cisco CMX/DNA Spaces using features such as location analytics, behaviour metrics and impact analysis.
- Wireless Automation, Assurance, SD-ACCESS: Proven ability to use Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC) as a central platform to manage and operate wireless networks.
- Security: Deep understanding of wireless security threats, implementing robust wireless security policies and best practices.
- Experience in programming languages, API calls and Python script.
- In depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, segmentation, configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Networking Protocols, and CAT9K.
- A CCIE certification (preferably CCIE Enterprise Wireless) or CCNP wireless.
