The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for a well-qualified Lecturer in Fashion Retail Marketing and Management to join our Marketing and Branding Programme at London College of Fashion (LCF).
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship within the Fashion Business School. You will play a key role in preparing the next generation of creative professionals for careers in the fashion retail industry, providing students with the necessary skills and expertise to succeed in this sector.
You will undertake teaching and scholarly activity in relevant specialist areas, such as digital innovation, omnichannel retailing, data analytics, innovative retail space development (physical and digital) and sustainable business. You will work closely with the course team to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions, ensuring that developments in research, industry and the subject itself, are reflected in the curriculum.
In addition, you will individually supervise MA students in the development of their Masters’ projects. You will also be responsible for the pastoral support, progress and attendance for a group of postgraduate students, fostering positive student progression, engagement and experiences.

About you
You will need experience of teaching and assessment in a Higher Education environment or will possess the equivalent experience. You will also provide evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of relevant activity and that aligns with the goals of the Programme, College and University.
You will be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and will be able to build positive working relationships with students. Excellent teamwork, organisational and problem-solving skills will also be essential.
