Job description
The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced lecturer in Fine Art/Photography to play a key role in the leadership of the BA Fine Art Photography course at Camberwell College of Arts.
At a time when the Fine Art programme at Camberwell is developing its approach, with a specific emphasis on decolonised practices in all aspects of learning, you will take a leading role to build a strong learning community which embeds the decolonised, ethical and inclusive values of the course.
Working in close collaboration with the Year Leaders and Course Leader, you will lead on embedding effective learning practices that will equip students to be successful on the BA Fine Art Photography course and beyond.
You will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the programme and will work collaboratively with the course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.
About you
In addition to your experience of leading teaching and assessment in a higher education environment, you will need an undergraduate degree in Fine Art, Photography or an associated subject.
You will consider equality, diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of teaching and assessment as well as plan, prioritise and manage resources effectively to achieve objectives.
You will also be able to show evidence of your own research, knowledge exchange and/ or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of Fine Art.
Should you have any questions about the post, please contact Maia Conran, Course Leader BA Fine Art Photography / m.conran@arts.ac.uk.
