The opportunity
Join us at UAL Short Courses for an exciting opportunity to expand our diverse portfolio of programmes aimed at 11 to 18 years olds. We are seeking tutors across a range of subjects including contemporary art, fashion design, digital media, illustration, and photography. Our courses for under 18s provide students with the opportunity to develop their art and design skills and build a portfolio ready for further study.
UAL Short Courses delivers a wide array of distinctive courses, enabling students to learn from industry experts, acquire new skills, and enhance their portfolios. Our courses are available online and in-person across UAL locations, scheduled throughout the year, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
We are currently seeking tutors to join our teaching pool. Opportunities are available for delivering the following courses:
3D Design for 11 to 15 Year Olds Short Course:
- 15th – 19th July 2024, Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 16:00
- 29th July – 2nd August 2024, Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 16:00
Digital Design for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Course:
- 22nd – 26th July 2024, Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 16:00
Fashion Design for 16 to 18 Year Olds Online Short Course:
- 15th – 19th July 2024, Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 16:30
Art and Design for 11 to 15 Year Olds Short Course:
- 22nd – 26th July 2024, Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 16:00

About you
Are you passionate about inspiring, engaging and connecting with children and young people? Do you possess the skills to prepare individuals for success in their chosen careers or educational paths? If so, we invite you to join our team at UAL Short Courses (UALSC) as a Short Course Tutor.
We are particularly keen to hear from practicing professionals who are at the forefront of their industries and are eager to impart new skills and experiences to our students.
Candidates should be capable of planning and delivering inclusive sessions that develop and engage learners, incorporating their own specialisms and styles. A solid understanding of the industry or subject area is essential, as is prior experience in teaching or training. A teaching qualification is desirable but not mandatory. Tutors should be confident in working with diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds, creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Strong organisational skills, including the management of materials, are required. Tutors must also be willing to undergo safeguarding training if working with individuals under eighteen.
