The role
You will be part of a professional team who provide students with technical support for digital making, 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and 3D editing software and contribute critical input to students’ work.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the students’ workspace, overseeing specialist equipment and consumables usage and maintenance, in addition to supporting teaching, research and commercial activities.
You will also have the opportunity to develop new skills and experience across a wide range of technical workshops.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have relevant experience in a technical role, with experience of delivering technical expertise to learners in relation to 3D scanning, photogrammetry, 3D editing and texture visualisation.
You will also need advanced specialist knowledge and hands-on experience in the use of:
- 3D visualisation and 3D animation, full body scanning, using a multi camera photogrammetry rig
- Hand-held small object scanning using Einscan, Artec or equivalent systems
- 3D workflows such as 3D scanning, photogrammetry and associated visualisation and render outputs (i.e. to video FX, image, VR/MR or 3D fabrication)
Excellent oral, written and/or using visual media communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way are equally important.
