Job description

The opportunity

Are you passionate about sharing your expertise in Contour and Sportswear within a vibrant educational environment? Join us at London College of Fashion as a Specialist Technician and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of fashion professionals.

You'll leverage your industry knowledge to guide and inspire students, teaching them garment construction and pattern cutting techniques aligned with industry standards. This will include areas such as shapewear, swimwear, lingerie, activewear and nightwear.

Operating cutting-edge machinery and offering creative solutions to technical challenges, you'll create a stimulating learning environment in our well-equipped workshop. Adapting your teaching approach to support a diverse student body, you will ensure every individual receives the tailored education they need to thrive in an ever-evolving industry.

This role includes working evenings and/or weekends.

About you

To excel in this role, candidates should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in fashion technology or possess substantial experience in the field. Your expertise should encompass significant industry experience specifically in garment construction and pattern cutting within Contour and Sportswear.

Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of employing effective teaching and learning practices or professional practices to support excellent teaching, pedagogy, and inclusivity.
