Job description
The opportunity
This is an exciting time to join the expanding postgraduate community at Wimbledon College of Arts to lead the new MA Costume course. The MA Costume course builds upon the international reputation the College has for delivering costume education. The BA course is listed in the Hollywood Reporter as one of the top 10 courses globally to study costume.
The MA Costume course sits alongside our other MA courses to offer students a collaborative postgraduate experience. The successful candidate will work closely with other postgraduate staff, costume and technical staff to deliver an inspiring student experience.
MA Costume is a course that embraces the past to inform the future. It will deliver research methods followed by practical realisation of test designs. Graduates will be able to evaluate social, environmental and cultural justice principles to inform industry practice.
About you
With a relevant degree in a costume related subject, you’ll have previous experience of teaching costume at higher education level. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing and developing curriculum that enhances the student experience. |
You’ll have an understanding of historical costume with a desire to use innovative approaches to researching and making. You’ll be a generous team member, able to work with a variety of staff working in different roles.
